Microsoft has recently released HealthVault.It's still in the beta phase.This concept from Microsoft appears to be an interesting one.In HeallthVault any individual can create account and store their personal health informations.Health informations of other family members,including our pets can also be stored.It provides a platform to keep all our health informations[as well as that of our family members],so that we can properly manage them and do not forget the important dates of health check-ups,vaccinations etc.
In the Help section Microsoft has mentioned that data stored in HealthVault stays very secure,as the servers for HealthVault are located at controlled facilities and it also uses uses a separate network.We,that is the users have the choice of deciding whether to share the informations or not.
An additional advantage is that,Microsoft has linked up with many programmes like Heart360 Cardiovascular Wellness Center,Circle of Sharing etc. for proper management of the user's health informations.Users have the choice whether to allow these programmes to access their data.These programmes give health alerts according to an individual's needs,keeps record of the blood pressure and many more.
Overall HealthVault appears to be a very useful concept for everybody.
