The actual definition of obesity is a state of excess deposition of adipose[fatty] tissue mass within our body. The most widely used measure to estimate obesity is the body mass index[BMI].

BODY MASS INDEX is defined as the ratio of the weight in Kgs[kilograms] divided by the square of the height in metres[m x m]

UNDERWEIGHT : BMI less than 19.8

NORMAL WEIGHT: BMI between 19.8 to 26

OVERWEIGHT: BMI between 26 to 29

Obesity has been linked with many of the lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension,Hypercholesterolemia[high cholesterol],heart diseases.
Few very easy steps like controlled diet, exercise can easily control this surge of obesity.

By controlled diet,i mean there should be a proper balance of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and proteins.Junk foods should be limited to a minimum.

The amount of extra calories that an individual consumes through his/her diet should be burnt out by means of exercise.Exercise should be a part of our daily routine.Half an hour of walking, sprinting, swimming every day depending upon an individual's physical requirement and capacity,is a very good exercise.

But in this fast paced world we usually do not get that time.Indoor exercises like walking on a treadmill,Agile DMT Elliptical, cycling on exercise-bikes is a effective alternative.Another benefit of these fitness equipments are that they are provided with BMI calculator, heart rate control, adjustable chest straps for user convenience.Other accessories like Multi Color LCD Display,Built in Adjustable Fan,iPod Docking Station with Speakers have also beed provided.
